Applicant and inventor names provided by the various offices are not standardized. EPO has an internal project to standardize these names. There are however still some issues that are not taken into account. AULIVE has therefore undertaking a project to normalize names including correction of typing errors, suppression of non-significant words such as the abbreviation of company types (such as Corp., Ltd., S.A., and GmbH). In all cases, the original name received from the patent offices is also kept.

- Normalized names: Standardized names normalized by AULIVE algorithm (correcting typing errors, selecting best name based on occurences and country)
